DUOCON Containers

DUOCON containers are two 10 foot containers joined together to form one standard 20 foot unit. They ship and lift like a normal 20 foot box, but once on site you can split them into two separate stores or keep them side by side. Each half has its own cargo doors, so two people or two businesses can use them independently. If none are listed below, ask us what is available.

How DUOCON containers work

The two 10 foot halves are locked together with connectors at the corner castings. Joined, they match the outside size of a 20 foot box described in the intermodal container standards, so they move by truck, rail or ship like any other unit. Separated, each half is a stand-alone 10ft shipping container.

Why buyers choose DUOCON containers

  • Two stores for one delivery: you pay to move one 20 foot unit and end up with two lockable rooms.
  • Flexible layout: place the halves in different spots, end to end, or apart.
  • Separate access: ideal for shared sites, rentals, or keeping hazardous and general items apart.

Good uses

Schools and clubs use one half for sports gear and the other for maintenance tools. Contractors split materials between two job sites. Small businesses rent out one half and keep the other. With a little work they also become compact offices or kiosks; see our modified shipping containers for options.

Alternatives

If you need one open space rather than two rooms, a standard unit from our 20ft shipping containers range is simpler. Our double door containers offer access at both ends while keeping a single room.
